A.I.R. Valve HOT after shooting the mag

I put together my wife's mag to make sure all is well for the next weekend and when I went to fire it the A.I.R Valve on it gets hot after about 10-15 shots and then it starts to leak air out the back.
I have never had my mag get hot(Hot to the touch) before this has me stumped.

I am assuming you were using N2 for the purpose of this reply...

There is a well know occurance of valve warming due to the rapid movement of compressed air molecules. This happens, most notably, on the RT. Typically the Automag Valve, being made of stainless steel (non RT) will get cold when used with CO2 and warm when used with N2 - just the nature of the respective gasses.

This could be a very dangerous situation, and the gun should be disposed of properly. Please send it to me and I will be sure it is taken care of - just kidding

The gun is fine, it should be nothing more than the N2 being itself.

It leaks out from the back because that's where the over pressure relief valve is. My mag leaks from the back if I set the velocity over 270 fps.

If you getting leaks out the back of the gun replace the Reg Piston Oring and the reg seat. If your still leaking out the back then replace the Reg piston.

You should get bleed off untill your well over 300 fps.

          changing o-ring didn't help

I changed the piston o-ring and the reg seat but it did not help Can I use the hex screw in the middle of the piston to adjust the venting pressure? My mag is kind of old, CF7534.
