sear pin not coming all the way back out to reset trigger

This is on a 68 classic that shot fine last weekend.
I switched from an intelli frame to a stock carbon fiber frame. Before I put it on I measured the sear pin length and made sure it was close to 1.985, actually ended up trying from 1.975 to 1.995. When I gas it up and fire it the sear pin doesn't always come back to reset the trigger. It comes back out about 1/2 what it should. Sometimes it will pop out but most times not. The sear lever isn't catching on anything inside the grip frame. I have disassembled the valve/reg and checked for "gunk" and found everything clean and it is well lubed.

I measured the on/off pin and it is .750. I installed ALL new orings and oiled generously. This has me baffeled. When its aired up I have about 1/16 - 1/8 space between the trigger and sear.

I also reinstalled the intelli and its does the same thing with that...leads me to believe that it was just coincidence that it started when I installed the stock frame.

Sorry if the post is a little scattered but my brain is so scattered now I can't type straight.

I am running C02 with a remote and ACI 6 stage x chamber so I wouldn't think that is the problem.

    Any ideas??

Any chances on you being low on co2? That is always a factor. But you said you oiled it, and switched back to the origonal frame which did work... ANd it's not like you screwed up the sear during that time right?

co2 is good, I did notice some wear on the tip of the sear. The top side has a VERY slight burr 9small enough it can barely be felt) and the back side has a wear mark on it that is also slight. I mean the top and back side of the bolt side of the sear, not the on/off pin side.

One other thing I noticed is when the sear is set so that I have a gap behind the trigger, the back side of the sear does not go up enough to push the on/off pin up inside the body when it is degassed. In other words I can't remove the valve assembly because the pin is still down in the hole a bit into the body.

I don't think I screwed up the sear, it is tight to turn and its not bent or scared up. It does have side to side play in it.

It almost makes me think I have the wrong sear

Heh, yeah, that sounds like you have a bad sear. The gap should be so that you can fit like a credit card in there I think.

Either the sear is bad (did you say it was hard to turn? It should rotate freely on the sear axle and yes they do have some side to side play) or you are shortstroking the trigger.. but I doubt you are.

You really shouldnt have adjusted the sear rod..

Well I had to adjust the rod (didn't really want to) cause it was adjusted for the intelli trigger, and there was enough difference between the frames that it was necessary. When I said it was hard to turn I meant the rod adjustment threads. I only mentioned it cause I have heard if they are loose then of course it can move while being used. Sorry I didn't word that right in the previous post.

I called AGD and he said to try a shorter PT spacer, so I dropped from a 220 to a 215 and with the trigger rod at 1.987 I have a WORKING marker

THANK YOU guys for all the help!

Oh yeah, on my one trigger and intelliframe for my classic, the sear works on both. SO you must have seen something wrong; but good to hear you found the problem.
