blowback?

a little while ago the power tube tip on my emag snapped in half. i ordered a new one from agd, but it looks different then the one that broke (broken one had the hex head on the end of it, new one does not)

would this be the cause of the blowback? or would it be something else?

What does the new one look like? Is it slotted instead of the hex head?

Does your emag have LX? the LX powertube tip has a hex head, the L7 powertube tip has a slot for a coin to turn it off.

If you have a LX you got the wrong PT tip.

So im not the only one with this problem. lvl7 has the slot, lvlx has the hex. You need the right one.
