AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Well, I've got an old 9V VL2000 (Agitator) and I was just wondering if anyone's ever moded or upgraded theirs. I don't want to get rid of it, but I would like to be able to use it with my X-Valve.
Any suggestions?

I'd keep it the same, just because it's like a memory. And why change it with new stuff? just get a used 12 volt revvy with an xboard.. Used they only cost like $35.
I agree. I'd keep it for nostalgia sake. BUT, if you're dying to modify it, I'm sure you could swap an X-board and put 6 Blade Impeller on it for some extra speed.
Let me know if you don't want it anymore and I'd be interested in buying it from ya.
Well, I thought about just getting a newer Revvy. I like my Agitator. I let a buddy of mine borrow it to play with, and he wanted to buy it, but I told him no--because it's sentimental. I was just banging around an idea to mod it, maybe. But it would be cheaper to buy a used one and keep my 9V original. I guess I could just shoot really slowly...

I would buy a used Empire Reloader and throw the guts into your VL2000. That's what I did with my revy and it worked great! Good luck!
You put the guts into a 9V VL2000--not a 12V Revvy?
Because from what I can see, it looks as if the bodies for the VL2000 and the Revolution are slightly different. The Revvy can hold two 9V vs. the Agitator's one. Plus, the boards are slightly different.

Thanks anyway!

Really? Wow, I would have never dreamed of feeding a warp with a VL2000--I figured it'd be way too slow.

Back before the Shredder came out, some guys up here in Ontario were replacing the stock moter with one from a model racing car. I don't recall what type it was and have no idea how they regulated the speed but it did spin fast....

I don't tend to shoot large strings of paint. So the 2000 has time to catch up. I really can't outshoot the VL anyway................I'm shooting a classic mag.
