Just wondering what setup you have on your level 10...to get consistent firing out of my gun, i have to use the short spring, wondering how soft on paint the short spring is? do i have to worry?? actually i bought a rtpro tune up kit, and am using that spring, it is just a hair longer than the shortest one in the level 10 kit...am thinking about modding my middle spring, but i cant get good results unless the spring is short, any opinions are welcome, i have to shoot at 260 or less, i have currently 2 lx shims and the #2 carrier, with the rt pro spring. thanx

Only certain markers will chrono under 260 with the red spring. Most will need the gold smallest spring to get that low. Start with that one.

I try to tune my markers with the lowest spring. This way, I feel that I'm adjusting velocity more from the regulator then from the spring. In doing this, I'm putting more air into the marker, which helps me get a bit more reactivity out of my ULT. Makes the trigger all the more crisper and... well it shoots full auto peaking at 17bps.

You cant have it all at the same time. Either the short spring for the under 260 crowd or the long spring for the dudes with fragile paint. MOST people wont be able to tune the L10 so that it doesnt crush a dollar bill. By using the longest spring you will sacrifice a great deal of reliability. Use the middle spring for great resaults above 260fps.

Nice you mentioned that, earlier today I went tweaking my gun, the spring I had was the longest one, i swapped it for the RED spring that, by the way, was now just 2 or mm shorter than the longest one (i shooted about 10000 paint with the bigger one), had now problem so far, the gun is a bit more stable at the chrony, and I guess that over time, anyone that's using the longest spring will change to the middle one.Originally posted by TunamanYou cant have it all at the same time. Like i said, smallest spring rools. My barrel cleans out nicely, so when I chop a ball, it usually not an issue. I play recball. Its not like I'm playing a high stakes tourney and if I chop a ball that means I'm out and my team loses. Why does everything have to be so performance-esque? Bleh..
With a shorter spring, I can put more air into the marker. I get better reactivity, and blah blah blah. Its like going on a spyder, and putting in a shorter spring, but increasing the regulator flow. More air efficiency too.Comment
