    68 classic problem

Hi guys hope somebody has the answer I need.

I am trying to set up the LX in this thing and the store here that deals with mags couldn`t because he can`t get the gun up past 210 on the chrono. It fires and all but sometimes leaks down the barrel [maybe LX cause] but any Idea why cant get above 210 ?
I was thinking maybe needs work to the on/off assembly ???

Cant go above 210??? Is it venting out of the velocity adjuster if you try to go higher? If it is leaking down the barrel, go down a carrier size until it stops. Don't forget to feed it lots of oil!

changed the reg seal and it works great over 340 but leaks out the adjuster at anything over 260 could this be the reg piston ?
I`m going to remove and clean the adjuster to see if that helps too.

It could be. I would change the o-ring on it first and see if that helps, if not, change the piston.

Sounds like the regulator piston assembly. Change it to one of the new high pressure ones.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Just checking, the reg piston assembly.
it has that hex headed what ever inside right ?
that is supposed to be adjustable right?
the gun I`m helping fix has one that is seized solid I can`t remember but on mine that is movable I beleave...

                No, it is not adjustable.

If you have an older classic it probably has the low pressure piston in it. Call AGD and order a High Pressure piston. That should fix your problem.

hey does anyone have a spare one ? I can`t get a reg piston here and if I order from factory they have flat rates and UPS has high flat rates to ship to me ...
