    MicroMag- What's the difference??

I was so impressed with a AutoMag I saw (killed me twice!) that I bought a used one off Ebay. Now I havwe looked around but cannot find a simple way to compare all the differences between 68/auto/mini/micro models. What I am looking at says MicroMag on the body, but when I look for parts I mostly see other models listed. It looks like some parts are interchangeable, but I am not clear on which ones.
Is there a place to look where it is all spelled-out? I'm dense, but not stupid

    Thanks for any help.

You can find most of the models detailed here: http://www.airgun.com/museum/

However you won't find the MicroMag there. That was a body built/sold by Pro Team Products for the Mag. can't seem to find a picture of one of those....

I own a micromag and to be honest there isnt a whole lot of difference between a micromag and any other mag except for the old RT. The micromag takes the same trigger frames and bolts and what not. The only major difference is that it is cocker threaded and a vertical air adapter from other mags wont fit. You have to get a special one from PTP. Im pretty sure thats all other than the name on the valve. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

it sounds like you are talking about the valves. With the exception of the x-valve, the RT valve, and the Sydarm valve, the others are essentially all the same and will have interchangeable parts.

Due to the nature of how the Sydarm valve fits in the gun and how the air gets into the valve it will not fit in any other gun besides the Sydarm.

depends on what kinda valve youve got in your mag....if yoiu have to stock valve then it should be fine to use c02 just make sure to use a remote. but if you have like a xvalve you can only use air... and im sure this has been said before so try the search option...no worries though
also rather than jacking ppls threads start your own or find a related tech question adn ask it in that thread...

Yes, Automag usually means 68 Automag (which is also the same as the Classic Mag)

Just to add to what the difference is between a mag and a Micromag.

                          Depending on the version of the Micromag you can use;

                          Level 10
                          ULE Trigger
                          Y-Grip / Intelliframe*
                          X-Valve

*You can not use the these grip frames on the first or second generation micromags. One these models the frame has wings that hold the sear pin in. With the Y-Grip and Intelliframe the wing is missing and the sear pin will just fall out during use.

Thanks for all your help people. It looks like there is still a lot for me to learn!
I spent last night tearing-down everything but the valve to give it a good cleaning. Apparently I was removing several-year-old paint from cracks & crevices. Tonight the valve...
