    Regulators

I would like to put a regulator on my mag, but I can't seem to grasp how they attach. I don't know if any old reg will work. First, what is the deal "in-line regs" and the other types of regs out there? Second, what are some of the regs that people are using right now. I am hoping to get my chrono speed a bit more consistant. Right now I am bouncing between 255 and 285. I am trying to hit 280. Will a reg even help this problem? What else can I do besides a reg? I am shooting a 68 classic with a level 10. I am using compressed air (88/45 pure energy). I am not allowing my barrel to rest on the chrono when I am testing. Not sure what else to say. Let me know what you think.
    Thanks

What is the output of your tank? On compressed air 'Mags like something like 800 psi input. 'Mags also have a built in regulator, so an inline reg is redundant and might actually hurt performance by not allowing enough air flow. Anyways, I get much more consistant crony speeds with a 10 year old 'Mag and CO2, so maybe the internal reg needs servicing if you have enough input pressure.

Yeah typicaly adding another Regulater hurts a mag with their need for such a high input preasure it's pretty much pointless any how,

Mounting a reg or Forgrip on a mag is done with a Vertical ASA adapter, you'll notice a small hole in the rail just in front of the grip frame which is where it screws in. All it has is a Vertical ASA and a plug hole in one side for standard air hose stuff.

Your inconsistant velocity can be caused by a lot of things not directly related to air preasure, such as well rounded paint, Paint to barrel match, a Clean & Oiled gun.
      Guns
Tippman SL-68 II (First gun and still lovin it)
      X-Mag XT00160 (Shiny and Blue)
Custom 'AlphaMag' Mag (X-Valve, Chromed Y-grip, Chromed Galatix Z-body, Gloss Black Rogue Rail)
