Need help with a clasic valve

i have a clasic valve and i went out to play today, and there was a major problem.

when i gased up the marker, everything seemed fine, no leaks anywhere, but after i fired, there was major leakage down the barrel. im talking like no regulation, full blown out whooooosh flamethrower sounding leakage. when i held down the trigger, the leaking stopped for the most part, but my tank was still emptied in a few secconds. I was using C02 at first, but then i borrowed a friends extra nito tank, got it filled, and tried it out, and the same thing happened after one fire.

after i degased the marker, i couldnot remove the valve. after further inspection, and taking the body off the marker, i noticed that the pin in the on/off was sticking out through the hole that the sear trips if trom, making removing the valve impossible. i pusehed the pin back in, then pulled out the valve effortlessly.

i took apart the on/off, and then put it all back in. tried it again, and the same thing happened.

i have 1 star left on my valve, and if i were to send it in, would AGD fix the on/off, or would they only repair the valve. im pretty sure that its the on/off thats messed up

any help is apprecieated, even if its just telling me if AGD will fix the on/off with the star waranty

Just to be sure, can you check the length of the trigger rod?

It could be possible that the on/off pin is going way out, allowing constant pass-through of co2/air to the powertube, thus the leak, and none when you press the trigger (the pin seals on top O-ring) but still doesn't release the bolt, although it shouldn't leak through there... You may have to check the O-rings inside the powertube.

Anyway as a general rule of thumb, when gassed up there should be a gap of 1mm between the rod and the trigger.

A friend of mine with a minimag lvl7 went out to play today, and in the middle of the first game he couldn't shoot anymore, he learned out that the trigger rod was getting screwed in every time he shoot, thus shortening it's size, not allowing the bolt to release. It was the first time in 10 years this happened to him.

keep it coming, and im really considering sending it in to AGD, if only i knew if they would fix the on/off along with the valve

You will have to get in contact with AGD to send in your valve anyway, why not just call them directly and ask what the problem is?

change the teflon o-ring in the top of the on/off. see if that helps.

No if it stops leaking when you hold the trigger down the On/off is working, As it "on's" the air to the bolt/dump chamber when the trigger is at rest, and "off's" the air to teh bolt/dump chamber when the trigger is held down.

Honestly to me it sounds like you don't have a Main spring or the Sear isn't catching the bolt. the way a mag works is teh bolt in the rest position seals the air from the dump chamber, when you fire the bolt is pushed forward by the air in the dumpchamber till the ppoint where the bolt leaves the powertube and allows the air to excape, then the Spring returns teh bolt back to the rest position and the sear holds it there when you release teh trigger. From your description it sounds like your bolt is stuck forward thus not relsealing the dump chamber which is why when your not holding the trigger down the air drains from your tank.
