    Classic valve having some problems...

I plan on selling my Classic valve soon so I air it up to test it...

It fires fine if I pull the trigger fast and hold it.
If I pull it slow and hold it it double fires.
When I release it slowly, it either starts to leak for a short while or rapid fire about 5 ("half") shots.
If I release it fast it works fine. Releasing it fast as in I have to concentrate on letting go fast enough.

I have a spacer kit I could use if necessary. Oh btw, what is the spacer size that comes stock in the valve?

Well, it could be a bolt/sear wear problem. I'd check there first. I would also check the o-rings in the on-off top.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Do you have the bushing that goes through the rail into the rear recess of the grip frame? It's about 1/4" long and 1/8" in diameter.

If you don't have tha bushing in, Mags go crazy.
      Before: "You're playing with WHAT?"
After: "Crap! It's that guy with the pump!"

        I have that bushing in.

I don't think it's the sear as it works fine when I put my RT valve in.

I didn't want to say this at the beginning, but I do have an aftermarket on/off installed. I knew y'all would immediately accuse that. Though, I have used it before in my other valve and it worked great so I don't think it's that.

I need to look for a worn bolt and try new on/off orings right?

AAAhhhhh! After market on-off! AAAAhhhh!!!! JK.

It should be fine like you stated. The tolerances may be just off enough that it does affect the interaction with the valve and sear though, even if it does work with another valve, especially if there is any wear on any of the parts.

Correct. Definately check the bolt and on-off o-rings.

Well, it's either bolt/seer wear or your on/off, I think. And since you say the bolt and seer are fine, I'm going to go ahead and blame your aftermarket part. Try the stock on/off if you've still got it, and see what happens. If not, see if you can borrow someone's or something. But the erratic firing seems like it might be the fault of the on/off. The other thing is, it seems to mess up when you're pulling the trigger slowly - is it possible that the way your pulling it causes the seer to catch unreliably? Give it to someone else and have them fire it, just to see if it's the way that you pull it. Good luck!

Eh, the stock on/off was sold with my other mag... I didn't want to sell the gun with the crappy on/off.... And I had to keep one to use with my spare classic valve....

Does the stock RT on/off have the same specs as the classic stock one? I could substitute it in there to test it if it's safe....
