    Milling help

I have a question about some milling on my E-Mag. My intention is to mill the rail that the battery slides into on the front of the trigger guard, so that I can take the battery off without removing my drop forward (It's a kapp DZ2). I did some rough measurements. The battery slides down about an inch before it hits the drop forward. I think I just need to mill off about half an inch on the little rail to be able to accomplish this. I guess my main question is; Will the battery pack be real secure (will it wiggle or anything)? I'm just curious about how much is to much to take off.

    Thanks,

    Eric

The SFL's have the battery rail milled away pretty much like you discribed. There's only about 7/8's of an inch of rail on the bottom so I can remove my battery while keeping the drop on, something I love. The battery does wiggle just a bit but not very bad at all. Something that might help a bit is to leave the 7/8 at the bottom and leave about the same amount at the top. Just mill away the rail in between. The battery should slide down past the top 7/8's and still be nice and secure with the screw in. Just take off as much as you need to get the battery off...you can always take more off.
