X-valve parts in a minimag valve?

Is it posible to put any X-valve parts in a minimag valve?

I've got a guy who sold me a minimag with an X-valve or so he says. when I pull it out of the box he shiped it to me in there is no X-valve to be found. So I e-mail him and find out that, and I quote, "all the parts in the minimag valve are xvalve parts and also has the max air reg"

Now I dont know that much about the X-valve VS the minimag valve but is this posible? please be as technical as you want to be and add pictures.

here are the 2 pictures of the valve area and the gun it self.

thanks in advance for the Info

    Nope. You got screwed.

That's a plain classic mag with an aftermarket regulator on the back.

The air pathways are different in an RT class valve. The fact that it has Mini on the front means it's a classic. Sorry dude.

      Thats exactly what I thought.

Also has 32 degrees ever made or sold an A.N.S. PHASE II bolt for the mag? btw which one is better? one from 32 degrees or an A.N.S. phase II?

what does the A-dvanved mean on the side of the Valve portion of the bolt?

I just got done cleaning it --- it was really fricken DIRTY! so here are some pics I took of it.

does anyone have any pics or official schmatics that show the diferences between a MM valve and a X-Valve?

      Thanks

how do I take apart my valve to find out if any of the parts are truley changed? because from looking at thoes the exploded Views of the two valves it looks like the two could be interchanged.

Could someone take some pictures of a each valve? the things that make them imposible to change...

        thanks

Sorry dude, what alpha said. You got hosed. I own both a regular valve and an xvalve, and they are both different. You got screwed. Try to get this guy to trade/sell back for the valve, but at this point, I reccomend you use a third party, that way you dont send him back his POS valve and he keeps both the valve AND your money.

            Good luck man!

PS 32 degrees is the better bolt.

I hate it when stuff like this happens

Yup two completely different valve, and there aren't interchangable parts.

Some differences if you really want to know, you can check for your self.

#1 X-valves come with a Lvl 10 super bolt, so you should have a package of about 10 spacers and shims and power tube orings,

#2 if you unscrew teh two halves of the valve, a Classic/minimage valve side will have a contored surface and two holes one running to the top of the on/off assemble and a second from your input source As well as a big hunkey looking oring thing in the middle. An X-valve will have a skinny metal tube sticking out, which has a brass ring around it with a "cross" cut in the top, and normal looking orings on the reg side.

#3 completly unscrew teh velocity adjustment cap and look at the main reg spring, if its a Mini/classic it will have one big spring, while the X-valve will have two springs one smaller one inside the bigger,

So like they have stated, hate to say it but you got ripped off.

As everyone says, you got screwed. No one mentioned your question about the "A-dvanced" lettering on the valve, though. It's part of a longer bit, which reads "A-dvanced I-ntegrated R-egulator". The A.I.R. Valve.

G'luck getting that set straight, though.

Well he's offered $40 to make up for the

ans instead of 32 deg bolt
MMvalve and shockteck reg instead of xvalve
left powerfeed stock barrel instead of right powerfeed stock barrel
12" CP barrel instead of a 14" barrel
and missing gravity hopper (he later told me that ups broke it) geez could have told me that sooner. IE when he sent me the tracking number.

                      the rest arrived as described.

$40 wont make up what I would have to pay to get it to where I thought it was but I think I might have bought it for that much had I known what it was.

                      what do you guys think?

P.S. anyone have a retro valve they want to sell me for cheep?
also I'm looking for a ULT and an E grip

I got taken in by the same crap on Ebay by one "patswift2". In retrospect, the auction heavily implied, but didn't actually say, that it was an RT valve. There's another one up there now that is similarly unclear.

It looks like I'm the proud owner of what is effectively a regular ol' 68 valve, which I totally don't need. Of course, being the kind of person I am, I immediately started thinking about how to get ahold of enough parts on the cheap to make a second 68, maybe to be a sidearm kind of thing.

                          bummer monkeyking

well the guy decided to send me a $50 money order when and if it ever gets here I'll have $50 to up my gun. So I guess its not exactly what I wanted to get but i guess for $150 its not a bad place to start.

For ups I'm thinking I'm going to start with a ULT followed by either a electro or pneumatic or a combo of the two grip. then I'm thinking Retro valve. after that I might ULE it but that's waaaay down the road from here.

thanks Guys for all your help. I would have been screwed had you not helped me out.

So far, you've paid $200 for the gun right? I know a local paintball store that would sell you a brand new old stock Automag RT for that price, with a 1 year warrenty and a free pass to a field to boot. I don't think buying a new valve will help you out, basically the valve IS the gun. If you can get your money back do it, and then get yourself something better to start off with.

well assuming he sends what he promised this time I've paid $175 for the mag, drop, 3 barrels, tank, gloves, mask, revy, and 500 paint balls. so it wasn't that bad of a deal. a retro valve will help with higher rates of fire and the ULT will also help get the BPS up there.
