firing problems on pieced together mag

ok. ive got a oddball mix of parts on the gun. old classic rt rail, minimag body, emag valve with retro back half lvl 7, zgrip, the rail and body needed some dremaling to fit together.

my problem is that now i can get it to shot once right after airup but after that it either leaks or half fire. one of my problems is mostlikely the on off pin ive got two and dont know which to use. ive got a .750 and a .73x which would i use in the valve. the other is i messed with the trigger rod some. ok alot.. also didnt help that im out of air in both tanks.

eventually i want to get my lvl x and ult kit into the valve. i figured it would be best to have the gun working before doing that.

hmm, well one question, isthe Retro valve from an RT Classic?

Your problem could be, I'm not positive on this as i've not had one to really look at, is taht your mixing RT Classic parts with other Mag peices, when AGD made the RT Classic they changed a few things that didn't match with the rets of the mag parts they had, and eventualy quit making it and Produced teh RT-pro which is complely compatible with older/newer mag parts, So you might be hitting some compatability problems.

      Of course it works-its AGD

You are going to have some issues if you are trying to make a RT classic rail work with an emag valve and a minimag body. This rail is not designed to work with these parts.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

the rt/emag valve is the newer style. i know the parts arent really suposed to go together. the biggest problem i had was fitting the body to the rail. with that solved. i still think the problem lies in the on/off pin. when i put the minimag valve off my pumpmag in it it works but i would have to adjust the trigger rod to correct some issues. should i just adjust the gun to the minimag vavle than swap in the emag valve and hope everything is similar enough to work. which still brings me back to which pin needs to be in the valve.

so i guess i need to know what size pin a newer rt mag would take. then work from there.

If you can get everything put together it may work. The .750 on-off pin is the correct one for a standard retro mag. The older RT's used a .765" pin I believe. I'm not sure if this was due to the valve or the rail. Try your pins. If they work use them. If the don't, try something else.

There's a tube bushing that slips inside of the rail and goes into the rear of the gripframe. If you loose it, mags go crazy. Make sure you have one of those.

The basic problem here is that you have too many different AGD model parts, all with varying tolerances, trying to make it all work together. The tolerances are so tight on AGD products (meaning high quality), that it's not likely ever going to work correctly for you.

which sear are you using? classic? RT Pro sear? The on/off pin size, along with the on/off configuration will make a huge difference. Are the o-rings, etc, all correct in the on/off?

I suggest going to a classic AM/MM rail and starting over from there. the biggest problem likely is the RT classic rail being in the mix.

              good luck with it.
