that sounds almost as brilliant as the trombonist from the czeck republic that put a stick of dynamite in his mute; his idea to make a large boom to go along with the song "1812" they were playing and instead the mute shot off like a rocket, nailing the conductor square in the chest and knocking him off his podium (killing him instantly by the way), while the hot gasses that were expelled circulated back through the trombone which melted the skin off his face and sent the slide 150 yards away while the bell of the trombone exploded and bits of brass shrapnel went everywhere killing the clarinet player in front of him

You don't watch Mythbusters do you? ^^^^^^

Anyway, I've yet to personally witness this phenomenon despite knowing someone who owns a Ti Boomer. Ah well, maybe I can coax him into doing something on the 4th with it.

Umm, why would a trombonist be using a mute in the finale of the 1812 overture??? I'm throwing the BS flag out on this one.

Besides, you can't have hot gasses come out the mouthpiece, throw the slide off, propel a mute AND shatter the brass. And besides - I thought the dynamite was IN the mute. How did the brass shatter while keeping the mute (made of cardboard) intact to fly and kill the conductor. Moreover, the mute weighs less than 2 pounds. If it even survived the blast, it would NOT have enough force to kill someone.

          That's so rediculous it's baffling.
          Before: "You're playing with WHAT?"
After: "Crap! It's that guy with the pump!"
