    looking for grips.

Alright, I just bought a used minimag and it had the stock single trigger frame on it. I was thinking about buying an intelliframe but decided to see if i could just cut the trigger guard off and put a double trigger on it. to my surprise it actually worked and doesn't look bad. I decided that all it needed was some new grips to top it off, but all the grips i found had the screw holes at the top and bottom, and mine is in the middle. does anyone know where i can find some that has the screw holes in the middle the grip? also how do you polish the scratches out of metal, just wondering so that maybe i wouldn't have to send the minimag body away and have to pay for it to be done. And yes i know i'm cheap.

You can get the rubber grips from AGD that are really nice (feeling anyway), or on ebay they still sell the wood grips for that frame. I like those myself, and I had a pair on my gun for 10 years

Yeah I saw a pair on a mag a while back, I tried bringing them up on ebay couldn't find them though. Is there any other web site that has them?

Definately extra lube. I keep two bottles at all times. Can't leave home w/o your lubricant.

                Rubber grips:

                http://tinyurl.com/8as9t

If you ask Tuna, he'll tell you they're the best grips ever made in the history of mankind (c: They are made like the Hogue grips, and I think they might actually be made *by* Hogue.

You just missed out on the wood grips. A guy on eBay just had a bunch and not one sold. Search for "wood" in the grips section for completed items. His user name is ron-asp ask him to relist. He had them in almost every color too, green, rose, blue, natural and black.

I checked out shartly customs, but it said that they had a lot of orders so it would probably take awhile. found the wood grips on ebay an asked the guy to relist. thanks for all the help guys.

I totally forgot that Smart Parts themselves (they made wood grips) still has a bunch of those around. If you go to www.smartparts.com and go to the clearence section you'll see them. They are either right handed or left handed ... I have the left handed ones and they are nice and comfortable. You can still shoot it with your right hand it just won't fit as nicely.

Yeah, you used to see 'em like that all the time. I just put an Intelliframe on my old timer and it came with Dye Sticky 3's but those looked WAY too modern on that gun so I put some Smart Parts wood .45 grips on her and she still looks like she came from 1995 (c:

If you scroll down the page on this thread you'll see the gun:
