    changing from CO2 to HPA

I recently purchased a new 90/4500 HPA tank. Previously I was running CO2 on my 68 classic. To keep liquid CO2 from entering the valve I was running a remote and an expansion chamber. My question is, can I still use my expansion chamber with HPA or should I change to a foregrip/gas through grip?

You can continue to use your X-Chamber with your HPA system however most people opt to change to a gas-through or run an air line directly to the valve from the ASA/LP Out port on the air system to allow for more efficient air flow through the airways.

I personally would keep the X-Chamber as a fore-grip and simply run a Macroline/Steel braided line to the valve.

Do you wish to keep it so it can go back and forth from HPA to CO2, in case say, you let a freind borrow the gun while you use another with your HPA tank?

My intention was to keep the expansion chamber on the gun so I can readily switch between HPA (nearest fill station about 30 miles) and CO2 (fill station in the garage). As long as it won't damage the chamber or screw with the input pressure to the valve, I think I will keep it. Thanks for the help.

The expansion chamber may wind up choking your valve if the air can't move through it fast enough, that's why most people gut their expansion chambers if they intend to use them as a foregrip.
You can always try it and see if you start getting shootdown under rapid fire.

Since you plan on using both propellants, I'd say keep the x-chamber, but re-work your hosing so that you bypass it when you use HPA. You don't need to extra volume that the chamber gives you when you use HPA and as stated above can actually be detrimental to your performance.

Just don't forget you'll need around 800 psi input pressure regardless of what air source you're using.

When I first used HPA with the X chamber on my 98c, I couldnt get the velocity above 240.

took the guts out of the x-chamber and the gun runs great, when i need to switch back to CO2 its just one bolt to put it back the way it was.
