very frustrating level 10 problem

(ive looked everywhere on this forum for my problem and it all came up negative)
im installing my level 10 and ive found that #2 (two lines) leaks and #1.5 doesn't. however problem lies after that fact. after the gun is aired up, i would squeeze the trigger and nothing would happen. the trigger moves all the way to the frame, however it seems like the gun will not fire. (hes some other info) i turn off my tank - but there is still air left in the gun. in order to get it out, i have to loosen the velocity knob and unscrew the valve from the body and wiggle it till the air escapes. the gun is a 68. thank you all. (tell me everythign you might think it is - im desperate)

Have you raised the velocity to handle the level 10? as far as air being trapped in the gun, you need a slide check somewhere inline from the tank to the valve to bleed it off, or you can do it the way I do and just slowly unscrew your tank from your ASA and le it bleed off that way.

the velocity is at its maximum. my tank has a max flo valve with an on off switch - the only way to get the air out that way is to release the quick disconnect - and that is next to impossible with all the pressure in the gun. thanks for the responce

its a 4500 psi 68 ci (i don't know how to change any of the pressure on it - it is new to me.) could the be the problem?

i'm not sure about maxflos but most adjutsable tanks have 2 gauges...one for tank capacity and one for output. what is the output set at?

just loosen the locking screw on that giant knob and spin it clockwise to increase pressure and counter clockwise to decrease it. Make sure you output gauge is in the range of 800-850psi

on the max flo - the small gauge which is closer to the bottle which is measured from 0 to 6000 reads about 800. the larger guage located closer to the gun measured from 0 to 1200 reads about 300.

The 6000PSI gauge is how full your tank is, if it reads 300PSI you need a fill. After you fill it you need to make sure the OTHER gauge is set around 800PSI. If you're new to the Max-Flo I suggest reading the manual/having a pro look at it.

When you say the velocity is at its maximum, do you mean it won't screw anymorein that direction? Also, what spring are you using? Try the Gold spring (shortest). Also if its a NEW oring it will take awhile to break in, after breaking in you might need to switch a carrier so it'll stop leaking, after that is should be fine.

the gauge closest to the gun should read in the range of 800+psi.That is your output gauge/input psi into the gun. That could be your problem right there since your only feeding the gun 300psi which is way below the requirement. The 0-6000psi gauge is how much air is left in your tank, make sure this is always above 900psi for a safe margin of error. Remember that mags need atleast 800psi to operate correctly/consistently so just spin that giant knob on the max flo until you see the guage closest to your gun get up to the 800-900psi mark. I have mine set at 875psi . If you still have problems keep turning up your velocity and see if that helps and then chrono.

it is very dangerous that you are unscrewing the field strip screw from the valve because your on/off assembly pin could shoot out causing damage. At one incident one member on this forum had the on/off pin shoot him in the cheek and lodged itself in there. Just shoot out the residual air and let the air leak out by itself. In my case i just use a straight shot and push the bolt backwards just a tiny bit which is enough to bleed out the excess air. Or you can spend some cash and get a slide check which bleeds out the air for you.

the problem is all fixed. it was the output pressure. thank all of you so very much. im a newer mag guy, too, and i love my gun and you all
