How old is my marker?

I've searched the forum archives (via google) and I have a vague idea of how old my marker may be, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure. My serial # is like CF59000 and it has one star. It seems like it's pretty recent compared to the late 90's ones that had CF2XXXX numbers.

Is there any official information about this?

i'd like to find out how old mine is too. is there a place i could look to see what serial numbers were made when?
