    AGD detents

How good or bad are they? Just picked up a used ULE body and its got an aftermarket detent and so do most of the pictures of ULE mags. If you look them up on the AGD store the want to sell you 3 packs or higher quantities, are they so bad you need a 10 pack of them?

Reason I even looked at picking up AGD detents is my used body looks like its missing the mainbody washer and c-clip which I need to get from AGD or a dealer and Rogue was out of retents at the time I started looking for parts. The aftermarket detent I have wasn't working untill I tore it apart and cleaned it but it won't last much longer if I have to keep cleaning it.

The detents last a long time. I've had the original detent in mine since the ULE bodies first came out. I have a spare but haven't needed it.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Go for the Kila V2 magnetic detents. They are replaceble, look cool, and they last a lot longer that AGD detents in my personal experience

The AGD Angel-threaded detents are some of the best ones made.

how do the detents wear down? does the teflon or delrin ball become lop sided or something?? whats the pro of having a rebuildable detent? what about a magnetic one?

              Fixed and seconded. :)

The detents that have come with my ULE bodies (three so far) have not lasted a full season and usually blow out right when I need to hammer on the trigger. I've yet to encounter a single problem with the Kila V2.

Rebuildable, yes that is what I meant. ME=

The actual detent can wear down over time b/c the bolt rubs against it at a very high speed time and time again. The spring inside is more likely to go first. Basically b/c it's not very strong. After awhile it just won't return the detent to it's original place.

The pros of having a rebuildable detent or rebuildable magnetic detent is that when the detent ball, spring, or magnets wear down you can replace one of these parts instead of the whole entire detent itself. So in the long run you will save money.

I agree, my stock ule detent fell apart after 8 times playing, and that was the only time my LVL 10 choped. I got the Kila and been using it for about a year now, no problems.
