okay, so what's the low-down on the desert fox???

Is it just a total mag clone, or are there actual design and performance differences? A member of my team is looking at getting one of them because he likes mags, but 2 other people on the team already have mags, and he wants to be different. They seem like basically the same thing as a mag, but i'd like some input if you have any.
    Thanks,
    CB

No, it's the same concept, but a lot of the things are different in the overall design.

As Black said its the same concept. A regulated, open bolt, bow forward marker. It field strips the same way as a mag. But the air comes throught the bottom through a small hole. It reminds me of the old school RT's minus the banjo bolt. They also come stock with a delrin bolt and a pressure guage and a double trigger. According to ICD they can get 8bps. The powerfeed is removable if you want to clean it. It's a little cheaper than a mag, but there are also almost no aftermarket accesories for it. If you want one I would definately go for ir. I was almost sure of getting this gun before a mag. I've never shot one, but I do have an Alleycat by ICD and I can say they have good customer service.

I have a puma, and I almost bought desert fox instead of my first mag. I still want to get one eventually. They look fun.

            Where can you get one?

I can't seem to find any? I wanted one back in the day, but couldn't find any and didn't see much for them. . . so I got a mag :-)
