Emag Valve as mech only..need help

I'm using an Emag valve as a mech only. Need some help.

Using Intelliframe. Emag rail. Emag twist lock PF black body. RTP sear.

I've read that you need the RTP on/off and .765 pin to make this set up work right?

I believe I've got the stock Emag on/off. I know I've got the .712 pin (it came with the valve, puchased on AO forums), and a .750 pin, have also tried a .770 pin.

the .712 and .750 both are super reactive. the .770 is probably too long.

    Thanks

All you need it a normal oring to replace the black quad oring and that .765 pin.

Those other lengths will work as well, all except the .712. That is really short. Use.750 if you want to bounce the thing and I'm sure .770 is fine. It's only .005 longer. It'll reduce the bounce by a tiny tiny amount.

I've tried it with the .750 and white o-ring (replacing the black quad oring). Still run-away reactivity full auto. I've rebuilt the entire valve. Kinda strange.

Thanks Boydster. Don't know exactly what else to do with it now. Would like to get some others input.

The white teflon oring is for classic valves...

Also, don't forget you need the two different orings in there to replace the one quad oring. I'm guessing you already know that and did that, but just as a sanity check...

And just for info, have you tried just using the emag on/off setup (quad o-ring and all) as a mech setup? You said you're using an emag rail and body. It should work just fine as a mech marker since emags have a mech mode.

The emag valve is a "double o-ring" on/off (one of the later valves, #1206, able to use the ULT).

so yeah...I've tried just about every o-ring combination.

The problem is this: with the shorter pins, .712 and .750, the valve is just runaway reactive. With the .770 pin, it either doesn't fire, or doesn't charge the valve fully, gives some chuff's, etc, very inconsistent.

I've rebuilt the emag valve with a new RT kit. Input pressure from a fixed tank 800 psi.

            more ideas are welcome. Thanks

Maybe you should just order a pin from Tunaman.

Just take the .770 and rub it on a file. Take off about .005 at a time till it shoots. Let me know.

Okay, so I've now gone to tech specs, found out my trigger rod was adjusted way too short. I've adjust it to the 1.985 and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Still working on fine tuning it, but it's a lot better now.

I want to thank you guys for your input. Any further input is greatly appreciated. What a great forum and group here on AO.
