    What's the difference?

Sorry for being ignorant, but I've googled, and poked through the forums, and there doesn't seem to be a search function I can use here. (If there is, someone point me to it!)

What's the difference between all the mag models? Or are they even models?

    automag
    minimag
    rt
    rt pro
    rt classic
    retro
    xmag
    emag
    dmag

What's what and what sets them apart?

(I'm not toally ignorant, I basically know the differences between auto, mini and e-mags)

Automag & minimag, Pro Classic-- same gun, different body

RT Classic- Old style RT with gas thru rail (no longer produced). This valve was not compatible with ANY other AGD gun.

RT PRO- New style RT based gun. This valve was compatible with all other AGD guns.

Xmag- Emag with a unified aluminum body/rail, removable breech & reflective eye. Functionally the same as an emag. No longer produced.

Emag- Electro mag. Functionally the same as an Xmag, no reflective eye.

RT/ReTro- used to describe any gun with an RT based valve. This includes ReTro Valve, RT Pro Valve, RT X valve, Xvalve, Xmag Valve, EmaX valve, Emag valve. (Same valve, different laser engraving.)

Dmag- Devil mag upgrade. Uses a Predator board in an aftermarket grip frame with 9v battery and solenoid to fire the gun. Can include breakbeam eyes only in a ULE body.

Only thing to add is the micro mag, which have an aluminum body with an integrated rail and either cocker threads or a unibody design (where the barrel is part of the body and not removable without a hacksaw)

Thanks, that cleared up a lot for me.

So in terms of the guts of the markers, there's the classic valve (auto/mini), xvalve, RT classic valve and the RT valve. And all the new stuff uses the RT valve? Is there any major difference between the RT valve and the xvalve?

All the new stuff uses the Xvalve. The RT valve (technically the ReTro Valve) is just a stainless steel/aluminum valve. The Xvalve is the SAME THING, except all aluminum.

The RT Classic is the same as the ReTro Valve/Xvalve FUNCTIONALLY, but not in 2 areas- how the air got into the valve and the diameter of the valve itself.
