Converting lvl 10 to lvl 7?

K, once I finish my emod and add breakbeam eyes I'm thinking about ditching the lvl 10 and going lvl 7. I'm not totally clear on how though... or am I? Have I got it right here?

    Uninstalling lvl 10:
    1. Remove Level 10 Superbolt w/ main spring
    2. Remove power tube tip w/ power tube tip o-ring
    3. Remove shims
    4. Remove brass carrier w/ powertube o-ring and carrier o-ring
    5. Remove backing washer

    Installing lvl 7:
    1. Install powertube spacer
    2. Install powertube tip w/ power tube tip o-ring
    3. Install lvl 7 foamie bolt w/ main spring

Now I know on the airgun.com online store there's another lvl 7 part called the powertube o-ring. Not the power tube tip o-ring, the power tube o-ring. Does this go in before the spacer? On the spacer? Also, how in the hell do I get the backing washer out?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    In a level 7, here's the order.

(Keep in mind, the top of the list is the top of the bolt assembly.)

    Bolt
Powertube Tip (with oring on it)
    Powertube Spacer
    Powertube oring
    Valve

Got it, the powertube o-ring DOES go in before the spacer. Now how should I go about getting this backing washer out? After taking out the carrier, will it just slide right out or do I have to reach back in there with something?

Yeha anythign will do, jsut dont marr it.

It makes my heart hurt to see people go from LX to L7. What are you going to do if your eyes fail?

I'm doing this too on my mech mag, but if I can outshoot my reloader B with my mag then I won't care about chopping, I'll be too busy getting my hand bronzed and mounted as being the fastest frickin thing I've ever seen. One question though. Does my ULE trigger kit just drop into the Lvl 7?

I've seriously never seen anyone's eyes go down. I doubt that's an everyday occurence.

ULT has nothing to do with the bolt system level.

I'm new to mags still so I thought I'd check since I was psoting anyways. Thanks.

Don't forget the Lvl 10 considerably slows down the initial rate of the bolt compared to the Lvl 7. Your eyes may prevent you from chopping, but the hard impact of a Lvl 7 bolt on paint may cause breaks down your barrel. There is a difference between a chop and a break. I believe the hard impact (hence breaks) was what originally gave Mags the "shredder" image and not chopping. I would keep the Lvl 10, but that's just me. I hope all works out for you.
