    Velocity Problems with 68 Classic

    Hello,

I've recently purchased an 68 Automag Classic (Classic Valve) with Intelliframe (Blade), Level 10, ULT, and a Powerfeed Left body. The problem I am having is that the velocity is way over the field limit (330fps), anything lower then that and the marker refuses to work correctly, anything at that level and higher and it begins to shoot at inconsistent velocitys. (250fps - 360fps).

Here's the technical details that might concern the problem

ULT - 6 Shims (Most I could fit in)
    Level 10 - 1 Shim, 1.5 Carrier (Largest without a leak)
Air Input - 800PSI straight into the Valve

I replaced the Regulator Seal and dry fired the marker a couple hundred times to break it in, but to no avail, the same problem. I'm still using the powerfeed left body so I still have the wire nubbin.

What could possibly be the problem?

What spring are you using for the level 10?

Oh sorry, completly forgot about that. I'm currently using the red spring (middle I believe).

As far as I know ULT's arn't meant for classic valves, at least that's what AGD says. I would replace it with a standard on/off first, just because

is this THE webby? if so glad to see you got a mag, its been long enough

use the smallest spring, the red spring may require you to turn the velocity up.

          your using nitrogen right?

I wouldn't see the ULT being a concern with velocity since it closes off the amount of gas which propels the ball.

I'm using compressed air as of now, I'll try the short spring this Saturday when I'm at the field.

I wasn't trying to find a correlation, I was simply pointing out that AGD states the ULT kit is "NOT suitable for use with Automag/Classic/Minimag Valves."

I'll give the stock On/Off a try, hopefully it isn't the source of the problem since I forked out the $70 bucks just to buy the ULT. (I live in Canada, you can figure out why it cost so much).
