how hard is the trigger pull on a stock valve?

i'm working on a project electro frame for a mag, and currently only have a classic valve to use it with...

i was wondering if anyone knows how many pounds of force is required to pull the trigger with a classic? and is it any lighter with an x-valve, or rt type valve...

also, i have read that the ULT doesn't do alot for a classic valve....would it make a difference in this application?

any help offered here would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks in advance!!

    3 pounds.

The ULT will lighten the pull, but it increases the chance of short-stroking & the recharge/reset of the sear is slowed. (due to the 2/3 force reduction)

      thanks Dayspring!! you da man!!

so the ULT will help even on a classic? that goes against what i have heard elsewhere...also, the short striking issue shouldn't be a problem since it's going on an electro frame...so i guess i'll try runnin with what i have, and see if my current noid will push 3 pounds...if not, i'll try the ULT route...eventually i want to upgrade to the X-valve of course, simply for a higher possible rate of fire...but i need to make the damn thing work first...LOL

also, is the pull on the reactive trigger type valves(RT, X-Valve) lighter? or harder?

        Pull is about the same.

And what you've heard about the ULT on the Classic is correct, they weren't designed for it. People will say "put lots of shims into the ULT and it will work in a classic." All that does is "shorten" the on/off pin. It doesn't fix the fact that it's taking 1/3 of the recharge force (450psi) to reset the sear. The Xvalve will have it take 1/3 of 850+.

So you see the problem. The ULT won't reset the sear or fast enough, or with enough umph on a classic. (Shims or no)
