    barrel won't go on

i have tried and tried but my barrel just won't go on anymore. that little metal thing that holds it must have bent or something because it has never not gone on. i haven't been able to use my gun in a long time cause of this. i tried to file down that metal thing a little but that didn't work so does anyone know what i can do to fix this??

If you take your grip frame off you'll see the bottom of the twist lock assembly sticking out of the rail. There is a set screw on the bottom of that assembly. Try backing that screw out a little and trying again. Report back after you've done that.

Take an allen wrench and remove the guts of the twist-lock assembly. I am sure you will find that the pin that rides on the barrel is shot. if it looks ok, then the housing is shot. Replace your twist lock assembly. A little dab of light grease on the new one will make it last alot longer. Hope this helps

i adjusted it but it still didn't work with my boomstick so i took out that sring from in that brass part and i think the problem is that the metal bumper thing is bent backwards so that when the barrel goes in the metal thing won't go down it just tries to go back. is there anyway to take that whole part out and buy a new one or something?

there sure is a way to take it out completely. If you call AGD on Monday you should be able to order a new one, or you can go to DropZone paintball's site here and get one.

Make sure you have not over tightened your trigger frame screw. I have had that make it so the barrel would not come out or go back in. But it does sorta sound like your twist lock...

Try taking the frame screw off completely, then see if you can get it in there. Sometimes it goes in a tiny bit too far and gets in the way of the barrel. If this is the problem, get another washer and put it between the screw and the frame, that should make it tighten all the way but still clear the barrel. Good luck.

                  Removal

Just support it on both ends and either press it out or use a block of hardwood and tap it out.

                    Emergency Use

Just in case you HAVE to use it NOW. You can take an allen wrench or small screwdriver and push the twist lock down through the feed tube while inserting the barrel.
I had the same problem one time, and this got me through the day.
