    classic valve leaking...again

I have searched but nothing helped so far, except for readding buy an xvlave, or repair kit.

Well my gun allways leaked out the valve velocity hole i fixed it a while ago with tinkering and it was fine for a whole day of play. Next time I was about to play i turened it on just to make sure it works. Well it leaked again so i said enough i took it part by parts peice by peice with an exploded veiw of the lvl 10 and classic valve, i noticed i was missing a shim for my lvl 10. i replaced the shim with my brothers extra shimsan I cleaned it and what not.

still leaking not right away but as I test fired my gun with balls it acted up half way threw a hopper, i changed the velocity to low it dosen't leak but my balls go for about 8 meters, as i turne it up I can shoot wait a few seconds i then will hear it leak again but stops as i shoot again 5 more second it leaks again. Even higher it's full on leakage out the back. So now I am here the game is prolonged till tommarow.

    q's
Do I need a special oil not just cleaning it? or would ordinary gun ube work?
Why does it leak, saftey reasons?

it should only leak when the velocity is over 300 fps. So if you are using co2 you might have some liquid co2 getting in or it's possible your reg piston is worn out. I would test over a chrono. Change the velocity slowly (with small turns) and dry fire a few shots, then test a couple balls, then adjust velocity again, dry fire, test, and repeat till you reach desired velocity. If it is leaking at velocities under 300 then you probably need a new reg piston. How old is your gun?

About oil, make sure to use paintball gun oil.

If you have cleaned the valve well and it leaks only when the velocity is up, then the problem is more than likely a worn regulator piston assembly. The higher working pressure of the level 10 makes the pressure go above the release pressure of your valve. You may get away with using the shortest spring in the level 10 kit. This will lower the operating pressure of the valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
