    poor mag consistency

    im having trouble w/ my mag's consistency.

    here is the setup:
    xvalve w/ lvl 10
    black ule body
    clamping feedneck
    14in 2 piece CP barrel (689) or 12in Evil Pipe (688)
    intelli frame w/ blade trigger
    ule trigger pull
    ule rail (i think... it has a lot more milling than the other frames ive see)

    tank:
    68/45 HP Crossfire

    my velocity is pretty erratic, jw if anybody could tell me why. everything is clean and lubed. the paint to barrel match is god. ???????? thanks in advance!

      Notice the 68/45 HP in his post.

      HP = High Pressure

        Unless you have a double reg set up(a real pain to get funtioning properly), the automag is not a very consistant gun. Don't be suprised to see velocity changes of 10 or even 20 fps, also during rapid fire the valve heats up and there is an increase in velocity. Just set the gun so that you won't spike above feild limits. I don't reccomend trying to install an inline reg, unless it's a reg that can reach higher pressures. I tryed this with a cp and it didn't allow me enough pressure to even fire the gun.

          The RT's chronographing consistency can be altered by the input pressure. I cannot locate the chrono procedure notes right now, but I believe the ideal working range is between 600 and 800 psi. At the higher end of this range, which your bottles output would be, the trigger response will be more reactive but the velocity variance *at slow ROF's* will be wider. As you speed up your ROF your velocity grouping should be tighter. (and your average velocity should rise to it's "benchmark" level additionally.)

          Do you have the chrony notes handy at all?

            thanks guys. i sold the mag so i forgot to get back on here. im picking up another one or building one, idk so ill be back on here more. ive got so much more to learn about mags.

            i seem to remember something about a mag is more consistent and accurate at high speeds (from my emag manual).
