can lvl 10 be used as normal bolt?

I know this may sound strange, and everyone is saying "why" or "what are you thinking" but I would like to know if it can be done?

I want to use the lvl10 bolt as a normal bolt !! It is lighter than a stock bolt, but I dont need the antichop feature. I am using a halo and it really does the job of feeding my paint fast enough, so chopping a ball isnt that much of a concern.

I go to several different fields and they very in there FPS rule. This is kind of a pain in the *** with my lvl10.

I am looking for help to my question not a lot of crap from less than 17 yrs experience. May sound cocky but is honest. I dont think I know it all, thats why I am here, just hate listening to inexperienced opinions.

TO EVERYONE ELSE NEW OR OLD THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. Ray

The way the shaft is made inside the Level 10, it is impossible to revert it back to a normal Level 7 style bolt. RRFireblade is pondering the idea of a Level 11 bolt which combines the slim weight of a Level 10 with the simplisity of the Level 7.

I've thought about the same thing actually due to the fact the LX uses a little more air and I keep toying with the idea of eyes. Get the bonus of a lighter bolt but get back the small amount of air the LX might use for its anti-chop feature.

So far best idea I've had was to plug the end of the hollow portion of the bolt with something so it won't vent and removes the anti-chop design. You could fill it with epoxy or glue a rod in there so it wouldn't vent, it would also reduce the volume of that chamber by a small amount which you shouldn't be able to notice. You wouldn't need any shims since this adjust where the bolt would vent for anti-chop and pluged it wouldn't vent. Only thing to tune would be for the wear on the oring in the power tube which is fairly easy.

If you plug the small portion of the level 10 bolt, all that will happen is, it won't reset when it stops on a ball. The small diameter provides the antichop and the vent hole is what allows it to reset.

If you are having trouble with the setup, don't overtune it. Use the shortest (regular level 7) bolt spring. Don't use any shims. This will prevent unwanted leaks. Now test fit a carrier with o-ring onto the bolt stem. It should fit easily but be stiff enough to prevent free movement. The smaller bolt spring will allow the level 10 bolt to function with a minimal amount of level 10 softness (will still prevent most chops) and utilize close to the level 7 efficiency and consistency as well as a full range of fps firing points including low fps.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thats called the Superbolt 1 (LX being the superbolt 2) hehe

A level 7 bolt with a delrin front, later switched to nylon for wear purposes, and its just about impossible to tell which is which. Came in a foamie, hard nose, and cupped tip versions.

I dont know what hard nose and cupped tip look like, but ive got a NIB foamie one here.

I thought I read somewhere that if you removed all of the shims from the lvl 10 it would act as a level 7.
