    polishing

no dont do that, its alot easier to just polish it with a stainless buffing wheel. If you have the machine to put the wheel on of coarse.

a wire brush wheel will just scratch up your body and you will end of sanding it. you will also take off to many layers if you do it carelessly. theres no real easy way out on polishing your body.

it shouldn't. cause after all we are just polishing the body like the polished ones that come from factory. just we're using hand-power.

the ones from the factory are nickel plated.

But you are right polishing the body should'nt make it rust stainless steel regenerates it protecive chromium oxide coating.

no it wont rust at all mines been polished for over 6 months and i live in Florida by the water so my gun would of rusted somewhat already. only problem is oxidation where it will make it dull color but not the orange rust color.

I've done this sort of thing many a time with various airsoft guns that I have (polishing the magazines etc).

The biggest part of hand polishing is keeping the surface nice looking. After it has been sanded and shined, it needs to be coated to resist fingerprints, oils, and the like. That sort of thing will stick like glue.

How do you coat it so it's protected from oils?
