Reactivity on a classic valve, whoah!!

Hey everyone, I just put my new Minimag valve that I got from Tuna forever ago in today and played, it shot beautifully. I took it apart, lubed everything with white lithium grease, my on/off oring, the reg piston o-ring, and ran some autolube thru it to make sure everything was working good before I put it away. I always run nitro on my markers and I had about 3000psi. left. So I was shooting it, and I noticed the trigger was a bit lighter. I then slowly pulled the trigger back half wayand the gun kicked it back and shot again. I was like, what!!! I then shot it normally and it shot perfect, then I sort of sort stroked the gun to see what it did and the trigger pushed back and fired like on my RT, I was like what!!!! Then I was messing around with the trigger and if I don't pull it back all the way, istead of shot stroking, it kicks backs and fires. So I am like cool, so I put my Halo on and start fanning the trigger, not pulling it back all the way and the thing rips like crazy. It gets the occasional shootdown but I was running low on air. I think I had it doing 12 to 14. Now, I know you don't believe me but it was. I have never had an automag do this before (I have had 10) and I think it is sweet. Its kind of like pull back all the way to shoot normal, pull it back half way and it gets reactive. I took it apart to make sure nothing was out of place and everything looks great. Oh well, here are the specs I have on it:

Tuna, you crafty wizard you. Yeah but I'm serious, it has reactivity like crazy. Has any one else ever had a classic do this? I will show those litle kids with their $1500 Intimidators whose boss at the field now :rolleyes: Wait ,I was always the boss :rofl:

I actually had that on a P/F Automag I first purchased, it seemed to only happen when the situation was just right though... I would go nutz when it did it though... If it would have been consistent like that I would have kept it.

Lithium grease is good to use on the regulator? Would oil ment for ( air tools ) work on a paintball gun ?

any grease on the back springs is fine. Its only to keep them from rusting. Using airtool oil on the orings is fine. ;)

I use lithium grease on the spring pack and the on/off o-rings. It works great. I run air-tool oil through sometimes(looks and feels alomost like autolube or gold cup) and it works great as well. I like to have everything lubed up, that way when I hook up air, I don't get any suprises ;) You know what is funny is, I have shot this valve once before and it didnt do this. Just the other day I through a tiny electro board in my intelliframe to make people think it was electro. I told them it will shoot real fast now. Then you know what, it starts this reactivity thing. Must be the board :rolleyes: This is not just like a every now and then thing. It is like RT 24/7. I have taken the valve apart twice and cleaned it to make sure this was not just some spur of godliness but it still does it. Soweeeet!!!!!!!!

my classic has the reactivity of an Rt, I can sweet spot it and everything. I havent has another classic to compare it to but it seems to be exatly the same effect as my friends rt valve.

Yep, same here, but the funny thing is, just like an RT, it will only work with nitro. It won't go reactive with C02 becuase just like an RT, I don't think it can recharge fast enough.

Ive never tried co2, I wonder if you could get more reactivity with an adjustable tank too...

I'd think if there was more pressure forcing itself into the valve the valve would want to dump it faster... so yeah I would think it would be faster with a higher pressured tank.

I think i should paint my classic valve to look like an x and see if a rt mag user would tell the difference

My classic is sort of like that, but the balls always go 10 feet shorter, but I can get to kick back.
