O-Ring around Powertube, does it matter?

I've noticed some powerfeed bodies have an o-ring around where the powerfeed tube is welded to the body, and some do not and look like they have deliberate gaps.

    What's the difference theoretically?

In the real world, does it actually make a difference in feed rate?

What arrangement is better for a good old fashioned 12v Revolution?

    Thanks!

I remember sending my powerfeed body to AGD without one and it came back with. Apparently they think it's important. Difference in feed rate? No. Only better way to feed a gun is a vert feed. (ULE body)

It's not an o-ring, it's a bumper, and it protects the valve when the bolt is returned by the spring and hits the valve. Leave it there.

        Read that again...

He said POWERFEED TUBE not the valve's powertube.
