    E-Mag Valve Repair Q

    Quick E-mag valve repair question.

I have a leaking e-mag valve (Out the velocity adjustment hole) and I am going to replace some of the o-rings. I have a complete RT parts kit. Can I use some of the o-rings from that kit?

If you adjust your velocity down does it stop leaking?

Could be a worn velocity spring pack.

Sounds like it's times for a complete rebuild. The RT parts kit is the one you will use for the Emag. Only thing you'll not have in the parts kit is the small black "quad" o-ring for the on/off pin. However, you can buy those through AGD, or just use the RT o-ring....no problem.

Take your time, keep track of the parts, download the diagram from AGD's site (exploded view of Emag valve) and you'll be fine. Lube the o-rings "ever so slightly" when reassembling.

      Have fun.

Yes, the laek stops when the velocity is turned down under 250.

        Thanks everyone for the answers.

Sounds like you need a new regulator piston assembly.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

a little side note that im gonna add as it seems everyone has forgotten this (not in this thread, but in general!)

if you have split the reg (unscrewed it between the serial numbers) you should replace the reg seat in there. When the gun is gassed up with a new reg seat it puts a grove on the seat, and it seals along that grove. Once you split the halves the seat can move, and once gassed up again you get 2 groves on the seat. Sometimes this makes the marker leak, but more commonly it allows air to slowly leak past the reg seat, which gives you incosistant velocity and by extension a less accurate marker.
