    powertube cracked

So I have a classic valve with no stars on it and a major leak down the barrel when I air it up. After replacing o rings and lvl 10 parts I read in another thread that I may have a cracked power tube. Sure enough I find a hairline fracture of the power tube near the base. So my question is what next, can AGD replace just the tube or do I need a whole new valve? Is there any one else who may be able to replace just the tube? Can I do it myself?

    Any advice would be great.

I'm sure you don't need an entire new valve, call AGD and ask. They're friendly

If it's a level 7 or above, the powertube would be welded on so the valve would basically be ruined. I do have some used ones here. Email me.

Yes. They are repairable as Kayle stated..but only by a qualified welder that understands the concept of tempering stainless steel. Simply welding it and grinding/polishing the weld down back to the proper diameter is the easy part. Knowing how to COOL it properly is the only way to get the temper back to the original strength, and should not be attempted by any unqualified person to say the least.

more than likely this was before they were threaded. They were smooth and slid into the chamber and silversoldered.. OH and long time no see Phil..

Yea I had a flash back to one.... with that oh so hard to find little thin red oring. I had a few of those. They scarce as rooster eggs now. I know where a couple of em still remain though. With my old tech parts kit. If anyone needs one I can send you the guys contact. He bought me out. There was two or three of them in there.
