I pull the trigger....and it doesn't shoot :(

I have an old classic...lvl 10 with an intelliframe, and when I gas it up sometimes I pull the trigger and feel pressure behind it...but it doesn't shoot. Any ideas?

I had to de-gas it and gas it up like 10 times to get it work my last game.

I have ben having leaking problems and was advised to try lubing the piston... so I removed the piston and velocity nut and lubed up. This put me in the same boat, I had pressure on the trigger but no firing.

I pulled the whole velocity nut out and piston springs again, changed every o-ring in the valve and viola! it's all better again - and I have reactive trigger type shooting finally. Woot! Go me!

So - for you, try new rings and some oil. Worked for me.

ps - once you put everything back together, tighten the velocity almost all the way in, you are sure to get back leak this way. Air up the gun and lossen (turn down) velocity till leak stops. Try firing. If it works, turn up velocity 1/8th turn until you have a small leak and see if firing stops leak. If so, you should be set.

You may be suffering from bolt stick. try the next shorter spring in the LVLX kit and maybe even the next loosest O-ring carrier. It takes a little bit of patience, but you will be back up in no time.

First thing is to give the valve a good cleaning and replace the regulator seat oring.

Thanks. It is old and I should try oiling it and cleaning it. The consistency was horrible also....plus/minus 15 at the chrono. That's either oil or a reg seat I believe. Once I try what you guys said I'll post again. Thanks for the help.

After a good cleaning and oiling try turning the velocity up, LX requires more pressure to fire, the longer the spring the more pressure required. If you get to the field and the only way you can get the mag to fire reliable is with the velocity over the field limit its time to drop down to a shorter spring. The general rule i work with is 300-280 long spring 300-250 mid spring and 300-230 short spring. And for the one indoor feild i play at the wants 220 i use a cut down level 7 spring (if you cut a spring always put the clipped end aginst the bolt! if you try it the other way you will end up with a hella mess of stuck parts!)

if you have split the reg (unscrewed it between the serial numbers) you should replace the reg seat in there. When the gun is gassed up with a new reg seat it puts a grove on the seat, and it seals along that grove. Once you split the halves the seat can move, and once gassed up again you get 2 groves on the seat. Sometimes this makes the marker leak, but more commonly it allows air to slowly leak past the reg seat, which gives you incosistant velocity and by extension a less accurate marker.
