Changing Air Lines on Classic RT

Is there any reason why I can't remove the foregrip and steelline on my RT and just hook the macroline from the drop straight to the rail? Like I used to have my classic back in the day?

I did it on an RT I had. Doesn't hurt it a bit.

My current RT is all original and I plan on leaving it that way.

Thank you, I like the steel line look. Call me an old romantic, but I hate the foregrip feel. I don't know what I am going to do...
