Well...after 2 months of fiddling with my Mag, I finally gave up and sent it in to AGD to punch my star. It turns out...that I'm an idiot and had my on/off pin in upside down...that was all that was wrong with it. After two months of AO posts, a parts kit, a new reg piston assembly, a new power tube tip, new power tube tip o-rings, and a spacer kit...I had the pin in upside down!!!
Anyways...this morning I found myself staring at my Level 10 kit that I have been waiting to install. On the one hand...I'm so overjoyed to have a working Mag...I hate to screw with it. On the other hand, I just can't leave well enough alone and HAVE to mess with it. So, I go through the instructions...do everything right...get down to the smallest spacer...still leaks. Leaked so bad that I went through 2000psi and had to go to the local store to get a refill.
So then I thought maybe I messed up the spacer o-ring and had a b@*ch of a time getting it out of the power tube. But it looked fine. So, I said "screw it, I'm going to have to send it back to AGD...or risk spending $100 in air refills." But, I kept playing with it and changed out the spacer o-ring with another spacer o-ring in the kit that seemed a little smaller. It was alot tighter...so much so that I couldn't really go smaller than the 2 groove standard spacer or it would stick. So, put it back together...NO LEAKS!!
I shot about 150-200 shots into it to try and break in the o-ring...but then I ran out of air again because it got down below 1000psi and tuckered out.
I'm really happy that I got it working now...however a little concerned that I can only get about 200 shots on 1000psi...and once it dips below 1000psi is starts to not work. If I play at the field that gives free air fills, It'll be okay (probably)...but for the other fields I'm going to have to use the dreaded CO2...probably witha remote minimally...maybe an inline expansion chamber as well. It makes me nervous because last time I tried CO2...with an expansion chamber...froze up my valve and is just killer on your o-rings.
