    Warp feed

Is it possible to use a warp feed on a Spyder or Spyder clone? I think I might be outshooting my Revy with my Rebel and thought maybe a faster hopper or forced feed system would fix it. Not that it's a "definite" option...since the warp would be worth more than the Rebel (by far)...but it was just a thought.

    Thanks.

i have seen a warp on a spyder but im not sure if you have to mod it or anything. and how are you sure your outshooting your rev. revs can feed a good 8bps, and i doubt you are shooting faster then that with a rebel

yes, a warp works fine with spyders and spyder clones.
i set up a warp on my brothers tippy 98; just needed to dremmel the 90* elbow that came with the warp and epoxy the elbow and the hose adapter to it. and it all holds good and feeds perfect with his response trigger.
      upgrade fund: $145

I figure I'm shooting about 5-7bps with a standard hopper with the Rebel. The problem is I'm getting MAD chopping...REALLY bad. I've tried all kinds of things to solve it. One thing that people keep saying is I'm overshooting the hopper. If I put the Revy on there...I can get 7-9bps..but it still chops.

One thing I've noticed is that the air may be pushing upwards on the ball (vertical feed) causing it to "hesitate" before falling. I figured some type of force feed system might solve this. I'd have to adapt the warp feed to feed a vertical feed...but I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult. The real question is:

        A) Would it solve the problem?
        B) Is it worth spending $80.00 for a warp feed to put on a gun I can't sell for $25.00?

Sorry for a post about blowbacks...bad me. The good thing about getting the warp feed is if it doesn't work, I can always attach it to my Mag...

u can try it but since it does not have eyes, most guns will chop if they dont have some kind of anti-chop system. it might help you chop less but i dont think it will eliminate chops.

You can always buy a used warp and try it, then if you dont like it or if it doesnt work then you arent out as much money.

If you use the offset hose on the grip frame instead of the asa adapter, you will have to dremal the mounting bracket a little, but I have a warpfeed for sale that the bracket has already been modified on.

              Hmmm???

My only problem is the Rebel is a vertical feed. I'm not sure the hose will reach the top of the vertical feed. But it must come close or else how could somone with a vertical feed ULE mainbody use it?

Anybody got pics of a warpfeed used with a vertical feed marker?

              Thanks.

You can use a warp with a vert feed. All you need is a 90* elbow for it. Not sure if they come with the warp though.

the warp feed comes with a 90* elbow and if it is the stock feed neck it will work on the spyder.

also i hav heard that you have to mod the warp mount to fit the spyders grip frame(it isn't hard just a cut or two on the mount.

You can hook up a Warp on just about any gun. There are adaptors and stuff available to make the connections. Check out how AGD has a Warp hooked up on an Angel. Look on the airgun websight its under "How to Warp an Angel" Any type of verticle feed would be set up similarly.

If you like the Warp, then you can switch it to different guns as you upgrade.

I got the warp in the mail. It looks like I'm going to have to take it apart and check a few things. The guy I got it from had it set up to work with an Intellifeed. That's cool, but to get it to work with a mechanical blowback, it looks like I'll need to change a "setting" to "sensor?"

Now, 2 other problems I noticed.

                      1) The hose is not long enough. It was long enough to fit a powerfeed minimag...not extend all the way up to a vertical feed on a blowback. I know Pro-Team sells hose for $9.95...they say it will go 12-20". Is it possible to use other hose? How much does AGD hose run? What about vacuum cleaner hose...it seems very similar.

                      2) The vertical feed on the Rebel is the kind where a standard hopper would sit right down inside it. I have an adaptor that came with the warpfeed...but it won't sit in the vertical feed...it's too small...much smaller than the diameter of a standard hopper. Any advice?

I tried to download the maual and parts explosion of the AGD website, but neither links were working.

Take the warp hose to a marine store and match a couple of feet of bilge line then shorten it to the length you need for your marker. It's not a bad idea to get a couple extra feet to have as spare.

                          Update

Well, I tried to switch the warpfeed to "sensor" which is what I was told to do to get it to work with a blowback. However, it didn't seem to work. I may have just no moved the little "fuses" to the right spots...I thought I did it like the manual said...maybe I didn't.

So, anyways, I thought about it and decided to get REALLY creative. I bought a knockoff Dremel for $25 and dremeled out a spot behind the trigger of the Rebel. The cool thing is that the intellifeed sensor almost fit without Dremeling...I just needed to Dremel it to get it to fit flush. Now, when I pull the trigger, it feeds! Kinda cool actually. The only problem now is:

                          A) Getting a hose that extends long enough to reach the 90 degree feedneck way on the top of the Rebel. (I'll try the marine store idea though...if not I'll contact Pro Team and see if they have anything)

                          B) Finding a way to get the 90 degree fitting to stay in the larger than average feedneck without permanently epoxying it (in case this little adventure ends up not working out).

                          C) Finding a way to get the intellifeed wire to feed out of the trigger frame in a place where it won't get in the way of gripping the gun. I drilled a small hole on the back of the grip...but I'm afraid the wire coming out of there will get in the way. I may need to find a way to feed it out the bottom. Any ideas out there? Where does the wire feed out of an Intelliframe?

Once I get it done (if I do without just completely destroying it)...I'll post a pic. I'm pretty sure it'll be the only Warpfed Rebel LE out there. My main concern is I don't want to break the warpfeed...I'd rather break the piece of junk Rebel...the warpfeed I could then use on my project Minimag.

line at home depot i think dont quote me though the wire comes out bottom of handle in intelly where the rubber screws down dremil a lil spot to the asa and run it out there between the frame and asa
