    First time Warp Feed problems

    I set out to the local field this weekend with my brand new Warp Feed which had performed quite well in my bench test. On the field, I had no trouble at all for the first two games, but thereafter, I had nothing but trouble. The Warp Feed was breaking paint internally (PMI Advantage) and gumming up all of the works. I cleaned it out once and the next game the same thing happened. I then pulled it off and just ran my HALO without any further trouble.

    Upon getting home and dissasembling the entire setup, I realized the that center hub was broken. The tabs on one side had sheared off entirely. I don't know if this could cause breakage in the Warp, but I know it wasn't good.

    Any suggestions?

          There are two spines on each side of the center hub. Both spines on one side had sheared off completely. These spines were referred to as tabs in the previous post. See attached picture:

              Just one more attempt to see if anyone has any preventative ideas for me?

                  sounds like one of two things to me. one, you had it tightend down to far or at an odd angle and that broke it. or it was defective and you just need a new part. you can try takeing it back where you got it from (althogh from what i've seen most pro shops realy don't like honering warranty on anything. your other option is if it's an AGD warp then call agd, if it's a ptp warp give them a call, ether one should be able to hook you up if the warp is brand new.

                      Sounds to me like you were having problems with the paint not slipping by the wheel and the torque on the wheel eventually caused the pins to snap.

                      You were using PMI paint, which has the dry shell and is known to have problems with causing Warps to have a hard time slipping by the paint.

                      Call AGD to get the new center hub and when you get the new one, cut out a piece of thin cardboard that can fit inbetween one of the disks and the center hub. This will space the disks a bit farther apart. It should allow the disks to slip by the balls easier, while at the same time allowing it to still feed properly. Give this a try and report back.

                          Ordered new hub [thank you, Tech Jo(h)n] and will be more certain to lubricate the disks next time as well as placing a thin spacer.

                          What is a good non-dry paint to use?
