    Spring Life

Quick question for you cool cats: Has anyone had a problem with their bolt spring eventually breaking? If so, about how many cycles did it take? I just found mine cracked when I cleaned my gun today...the medium Level 10 one. I believe I've heard of it happening before, just wanted to check to know the average life they'll have...I know I have quite a few cycles on the gun.

Thanks fellahs. Time to place another order!

EDIT: While I'm thinking, does anyone have a picture of an ANS On/Off? A kid came to me the other day with a Classic, and wanted to know what was wrong with it...it had this really weird On/Off. It wasn't a normal AGD one, wasn't a ULT, wasn't a Centerflag...the pin was definitly thinner at one point than a stock one, but wasn't as thin as the ULT. It did lighten the trigger pull a bit, but it added a bit of reactivity. If you tried to use the reactivity, it would short stroke really bad. But, if you made sure you were cycling it all the way, it was fine. Rather cool actually, not as crisp as normal (it was a little spongy), but definitly lighter. I'm just kinda curious as to what it actually was. Someone mentioned ANS, so...yeah.

The bolt spring has always been a consumable item on the mags. They do wear out. Most often you will get bolt stick issues long before the spring actually breaks. Many old school mag users used to replace their level 7 bolt springs after every month of use and before every tournament just to make sure they didn't get the bolt stick problems.

My first middle spring lasted 30 cases of paint before it started acting up.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
