    New mag owner

I recently picked up a minimag with a Dye boomstick, benchmark grip ,and a Taso valve (or a kit of some sort). Anyway ,I picked up a N itroduck 4500 nitrotank for it and every since I hooked it up, it often will shoot double balls and consistently break them.I also have a problem with shootdown and the adjusting nut backing off or not getting tight .I want to get the level 10 bolt and an x valve hopefully that will help. Any other suggestions?

I dont know if this will help but have you checked the nubin on the barrel? That might keep that 2nd ball out.

I checked that and it looked ok but maybe a new one would take care of the prob.

you dont need a new one. Just bend the nubin so it sticks out more. But only bend the point of the nubin out retaining the shape. Mechanically you should see how it works. Just increase the depth of the "V".

        hope that helps

I'll give it a shot ,no pun intended. Also interested in a shorter non ported barrel cleaning the paint out of the ports is a pain.Does anyone know how this will affect accuracy?

Oh nutter...Ive read sooo much in so little time.
I think Ive read that the optimal barrel length is around 12" or so. And effective barrel length stops at the start of the porting. Porting help bring the ball out of the barrel with more stability, but the effectiveness of that is greek to me. What is the actual application your going to use this in?

If your haveing shoot down problems and you've cleaned the gun, replaced the oring and relubed everything you may be having problems with your air system sometimes if you screw in the screw in the actuator knob for your tank (on/off) in too tight it will impede air ( i always screw the know in all the way and back it off a half a turn )

To cure the double feeding sounds like you need a new wire nubbin or new orings that hold the nubbin in place .......... this is a nubbin if your are unsure of what im talking about http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fu...&categoryID=16

hopefully when you get your mag sorted out you wont have to worry about cleaning paint out of the porting of your barrel :)
