Omega rail HELP! Sear & pin, and foregrip or ASA?

Hello AO, I recently sold my Omega rail to a fellow AO'r, upon them recv'g the rail they have 2 problems.

    1. The stock Automag sear/pin will not fit? (I ran it with a stock automag sear/pin, any ideas?)

    2. The foregrip they are try to use will not tighten all the way, there remains a bit wobble in it? (I ran this with a vert automag ASA and a CP short gas thru, and hook'd my q-loader up to the vert ASA.)

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated, as I am not trying to leave my buyer hanging out to dry

I just bought an Omega rail from Tuna and when I was puting my sear and pen in, it would not fit. Now I was using a sear and pin from around 1992 so I am sure tolerances have changed since then. I just carefully drimeled(sp) it out to where it would fit. He could do that or try a newer pin.

Note: the sear was fine. The pin was too big.

Sounds like the bolt is to long and bottoming out in the hole before it tightens up.
I'm a lefty that plays with an old school RT with H/L. I bought a warp and all is right with the world.

I agree with SocialD and 11Bravo. I have a classic mag with a classic rail from the early 90's. The sear pin was different than the sear pin I have in my other classic. The newer pins are silver in color and pill shaped (rounded ends). The older one I have was a dark gray/black in color and the ends were not rounded (just cut off). I had trouble getting this pin to fit in my classic rail, so I dremeled the ends and polished it to resemble a newer pin. I no longer have to force it to sit in the rail and it still works great. Remember to do a little at a time when rounding the ends and test it, this way you will not remove to much and ruin the pin.

As far as the screw that holds the vert ASA or foregrip, hold the forgrip on the rail to make sure that it has a good fit. If so, then definaltey take a little off of the threads off and it should eliminate the wobble. Good luck with them and remember to do a little at a time so you won't ruin the stuff!

The screws he's using may be a little too long and are bottoming out...

yeah sounds like he has an R/T pro sear and not a classic sear ..

and sounds like he has an R/T pro frame screw and not the shorter classic screw ..
