My son has a Tac One that he has used maybe 5 or 6 times so far. I have always had him clean and oil it after using but it is starting to have some problems. A month ago it wouldn't fire a couple of days after he last played so I took it apart and oiled it down well and got it working. The o rings looked great and I made sure it was clean. Today we got it out again to test a new remote system and it wouldn't fire. When gassed up it would click but the sear doesn't look like it is moving forward and the gun was dead. I don't know much about markers so I am asking for some advice before I try and take it apart again. He has a big scenario game this weekend and I am worried that I will get it working only to find it dead the morning of the game. I know the answer is probably in one of the posts already on the forum but I'm not sure I know enough to figure out which posts are relevant. Any help on getting started trouble shooting this would be appreciated.
Hear a click but gun won't fire

This is just from my experience with remote lines, so I apologize if it sounds like I'm insulting your intelligence. I had trouble when I first tried to use one (with a different marker) because I wasn't screwing the knob all the way into the tank. Make sure you go far enought in, and if you hit bottom come back out a turn. If you're too shallow or choking it, then not enough air will get to your gun.
It may not be the problem at all but it's something you may want to look at. -
Along with zorrotmn is saying, this is a ver common problem. I did it with my on/off and I couldnt figure out what was wrong, but I just backed out the nob a little bit, and it was good. But if that doesnt work, and you still cant figure it out, try contacting AGD.Comment

does your son have a lvl 10 or lvl 7 bolt kit installed?
if so, you may wish to try putting in a shorter bolt spring, or slowly turning your velocity nut to the right, but make sure the valve doesn't start venting air.
if this doesn't work, make sure your tank is filled to at least 1000 psi.
if this doesn't work, as an absolute last resort (because i dont think this would help) try moving up a carrier size (if he has the bolt kit and the larger carrier doesn't result in a leak)
if that doesn't work, contact agd.
sorry i dont have much more information to offer

Here's a quick update on my problem. Tuna sent me the following advice:
take out the reg seat oring and brass reg seat. You will see a pin(reg valve pin). Pull it out and oil the orings. Push it back in, install the reg seat oring and reg seat. Drop of oil on the reg seat oring.
Tried it and it worked of course. Saved me a ton of time fooling around with it. Thanks Bob!Comment
