Ahh burned up my emag board

Ahh my emag board started smoking today when I plugged in a custom intellifed. The intellifeed would power the hopper as well... I accidently plugged the plug in backwards (it is easy to flip it) next thing I know the solinoid was hot as hell and the chip in the top right hand corner of the board was hot and smoking... so... ahh how do I get this fixed without sending my gun off.... Or buying another board. EBZ

This happened because the Infellifeed line and the solenoid output line is the same thing. By messing up the cable... the solenoid was told to stay on.

yeah the solinoid stayed on and the warped boarded hopper kept spinning. Thing is the hopper is also powered by the emag battery so basically I shorted the sucker out. And then the board freaked out and started smoking.. has not worked since and now the solnoid will always stay on regardless if the hopper is plugged in or not and lots of heat and smoke from the board. I'm just buying a new board. Sucks... EBZ

If your solenoid stays on still... there's a good chance that it is also toast.

It couldnt hurt. Of course, you will probably need a new solonoid.

Disconnect your solenoid form the board. Try a direct connect (touching the leads) to the battery. If the solenoid engages and disengages, then your solenoid may still be fine.

The solid state output on your board is fried. It needs to be replaced. Once fried, it would remain on. Try replacing it and see what happens.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
