    What's Compatible with Air America?

    Hello All,

I want to change from my Apoc. 114cu in 3000 psi bottle to a smaller bottle. Now that Air America is unofficialy non-exsistent, Would any screw on bottle do (Smart Parts, etc.)?Any major modifications for upgrading it to a 4500 psi system? what are the options? Thanks

sorry no idea you would probably have to check with a bottle manufacturer ..... also you would probably need to find out if the valve is rated for 4500 psi .... In the long run it would probably be cheaper/easier to buy another and sell the one you have.

      Yeah...any bottle will fit...but theres a catch...

It's not safe to run 4500 psi through a reg designed for 3000 psi input...

You'll get burst disks a poppin'...and if not, possibly bottles a flyin' n' people a dyin'

So as Coralis stated...It's probably better off to just get a whole new system if upgrading to 4500 psi...

ok, to CLEARLY state what you need to know. If the current bottle and reg you are using is 3000 psi rated, then switching bottles is simply finding another (smaller or larger) 3000 psi rated bottle and having it safely put on. I will warn you right now, it is to your own risk if you do not let a properly trained person switch the regs. Major modifications for 3000 to 3000...none. Major modifications for 3000 to 4500, A LOT. Regs will need to be retested and fitted with proper reg guts for 4500 capabilities, and since AA is no longer around, It will be to your wallet's benefit to just buy another reg and bottle setup that is already prerated and ready to go. I hope this helps
