    mysterious lv10 problem

Last weekend I experienced an unexpected problem with my mag. I had installed a lv10 in it back in April and have been using it without issue all season. However for some unknown reason this past weekend it decided to start braking paint. When I got home from playing I stuck a rolled up dollar in the breech and it seemed to be working ok, but when I put paint through the gun it ends up braking a round or 2. Any one out there have some insight into my problem?

Did you check the ball detent? The foamy? Could it be the paint? If the lvl10 Dollar bill test passes, it cant really be the lvl10

All of the above. Im thinking It might be the paint, its the only thing that makes sense but the paint seems to be ok.

          1. Get a paintball and step outside.
          2. Hold the paintbal at chest height.
          3. Drop the paintball (on a hard surface) and catch it before it bounces twice.
          4.Continue until it breaks.

If it breaks in 1 or 2 drops then the paint is just too brittle. I usually never get any problems with breaking/chopping in my DM4 but one weekend I mysteriously started breaking every game. Turns out the paint I was using was so brittle it would break on the first drop. I can't imagine what it would be like in a Mag.

If that doesn't seem to be it then maybe you just need a little adjusting. Try changing out springs, carrier sizes, and shims.

When mine started breaking paint, it was a bad detent.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
