    Problem with Pump Mag

    Hi Guys,

i had a Problem past Game with my Pump Mag. The Thing was that the Pump was working on the First 12Gram. After I switched to the second 12Gram it was like the Valve was reseting by it self. So I did not had to use the Pump Handle at all. Can someone help me with that????

I have an Original AGD Pumpkit. The Valve has a Spring in the Powertube not a Spacer.

Did someone ever had a Problem like that?? I would like to get it back up running like a Pump.

    Thanks for any help

Do you have the bumper that goes inside the wave spring? It is usually referred to as the mysterious black bumper. Most people say that you can do without it, but it is there for a purpose. My pump mag has a spring instead of the power tube spacer too, and it works great. The first time I used mine, the guide rod came loose and I had to hand tighten it to make it through the game! I fixed it after the game and it worked great for the rest of the day.

Can you try hooking up a constant air source/tank to see if you still have the same issue? I know it may be a lot to ask, but it may help in troubleshooting this.

Ah oh well, for everyones benefit:

The wave spring is fairly weak to begin with. I had the same problem with my mag after playing a pump tourny with it. The black bumpers wear out quick for one, and the spring wears out for another. When this happens the gun will gladly recock itself because there isn't a strong enough force to keep it from not.

So what I did was put a small slit on the outside of a standard blue bumper and fitted it into the wave spring. The small cut fits around a coil thus allowing you to center the bumper inside of the coils and still have the hole in perfect center around the power tube. It doesn't hurt to put some gap behind your bolt. Thats what the spring is doing anyway! I've posted a picture of mine that isn't really descriptive but hopefully you'll get the idea.

My blue bumper isn't trimmed, its full size with a small slit. Good luck all!
