dude i'm with you with being unique and different however the way you did what i'm going to call the "swiss cheese mod" i dont think it was pratical. I believe what you have done wont hold much structial entrgrity(sp). I mean honnestly if that was my frame I wouldnt dare slide with it. The only real pratical ULE frame that was produced and is light and strong is the Xmag frame. Now, you could have gone with a custom rail(which your kinda doing) or your own little design for the battery pack to get lighter weight. I had set uut to to the same thing you did man and this is what I had accompished.

I'm just saying, if you want reduced weight make all your milling/drilling pratical instead of makeing your gun swiss cheese.

    My 2cents
    Euro E-mag | TL63 | XMOD| EM01610
    Euro Rt | OG | RT02382.

      Your 2 cents was noted.

I've put this thing through so many different tests on strength. It looks like swiss chesse in the pictures b/c I couldn't take a direct shot throw the holes with the camera.

The frame lost about 5% of it's strength which is really nothing. I put it on a machine that tests movement from side to side and tests breaks limits. I tested it before I did anything, and from side to side if only moves .03 on a inch more, and on a compressio tests, I tested the original with around 10psi and the new one handled 8psi, didn't want to to push it to far.

I've already played with the gun and I've slide dove and it played completly normal.

I am created my own rail also to use with this, and it should be lighter than the normal AGD ULE, with no lose on strength.

After changing around my drop-setup and the holes.

Fully loaded with full hopper and tank was 8.8 lbs.

After changes 7.1 lbs, no I didn't take a pound out of the frame, but I removed the drop and added auimount.

The new rail should drop it to under to around 6.1- 6.5.

Not bad fully loaded with Egg and 70/4500 peanut.

You did a nice job on it. The holes look well placed and not randomly spaced (which would look bad.) I can't see any reason why you would have a "strength" problem unless maybe you dropped it off the roof of your house or something.

Anyway it's a nice job for the tools you had to use. An anno job will clean it up nicely and clear grips will set it off.

and you dfanantly have to get deep yellow anno. wi th the clear grips...and maybe a anno. tatoo that says.......CHEEZY heh

          h

the only thing i would be worried about is the asa screw holes...you may have to drill those out and put nuts in there like on the stock classic mag, these look like they may have some strength issue.(then again i have little faith in threading, i crossthread every three screws i put in....dont know why either )

          good luck with that

Thats cool, however, I don't really care about weight as much as to turn my mag into swiss cheese. I don't really care about the weight of my gun, but then again, I'm really strong. RAWR
