    Don't like the cold

I have a automag that seems to not like the cold. I went to play in about 35 degrees (snow was on the ground) and my automag just rolled the balls out the barrel. I gased up my spyder and was able to have fun playing. Is there any thing i can do for my Mag (with out going nitrogen. I have a 32 degree 6 stage expansion chamber on it.

you balls are to small for your barrel. also, switching to a palmer stabilizer and a remote will really help out. or you can get a remote OR have an anti-siphon installed in your tank. i stress the or because anti-siphon + remote = very bad siphoning of liquid.

You could get a remote, but I know you said without going nitro but it is a huge benefit. The remote should help. Have you played with a mag before because it sounds like your either having recharge issues, your velocity is too low, or your paint is to small for your barrel.

If the balls were literally rolling out the barrel, check your nubbin, and you need bigger paint or a smaller barrel. If you mean it was just not shooting strong, then your problem is in Co2. To fix this, either go nitro, or get a remote, or anti syphon. If you have an antisyphon, make sure that it is set up properly, if it isn't it can actually suck the liquid in makeing it worse.

Yeah good point Pyro it could also be the nubbin. I would get the plastic ones if you haven't already, they are much easier on paint that the P or V wire nubbins.

this is his one and only thread so i'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's new to mags and just got a new mag. this being so, i'm willing to bet that he has to increase his velocity cause all new mags have the reg nuts out to far. you should have the nut in so that you only see at most 3 threads and at least 1(this has been the best for my experiences). this is all preset nitro so the input to the gun is approx. 850 psi. since you are running co2, it should be slightly higher than that. i would say that you should have 2-3 threads showing on the reg nut. oh just in case, the reg nut is the allen key holed piece on the back of the gun.

Thank You for the information and would like to say that when i said they rolled out the barrel is was a figure of speach. There just seemed like there was not alot of air to send the ball out, so they would go like three feet or so. I would also like to say that my automag is a used one tho he didnt use it but a few times. I have been playing now for about a year, but have only had the mag a few months.
Just to add a few things i have a smart parts barrel and play with powerball paint. If you have any other up grades that would be a plus for my mag please write. Thanks

if you are going to play in the snow or cold wether under about 75degees or so you must get high presure air. it doesnt have liquid in the tank so it cant freeze up your gun.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

I've played for years with my mag in 32* weather with no problems. It can be done. I have nitro now, but I just used a vertical ASA with a 12 oz tank,...NO expansion chamber. But I did have a loop in my hose going to the ASA. That probably was the key. It kind of acted like a pee trap on a sink. lol. See picture below. The only difference was that I didn't have the bottomline attached (just used the tank like a foregrip), and of course I didn't have the ELCD grip. Still going strong!

You should definetly invest in nitro first at least in acrossfire tank make shure its high out put pressure I belive they have a red nut 850-900 psi but I also use co2 on my mag on a vert asa in could weather without seriose probs but only if I have to but definetly nitro and if you don't have an agitated hopper 9v revy at least ($40) you should get one both are worth while They should be number 1 and 2 on your upgrade list
Z-griped, warped, retromag with super bolt, and warpleft polished body, freak kit and flatline 3k

It can be done but instead of buying all those air parts you might as well get a cheap PMI nitro tank and save yourself lots of trouble

I have a foregrip on my gun which I run a macroline hose to a bottomline ASA, then to a remote which goes on my back. I thought that this would eliminate some c02 problems, not that I cared, I am gettin nitro anyway. But anyway it didnt work. I saw the velocity drop a lot in long strings of quick shots. I shot about 50 as quick as i could and then ice started shooting out. The weather was 50 degrees too. I kept shooting to see how bad I could get it, but it scared me so much ice came out so I stopped lol. (jk not that much came out, but for 50 degrees and my setup it was definetly surprising) One other thing, technically, I have one of those pee traps too because my gun has a 90 degree fitting and right there would be my pee trap. But thats cool that it works for you, lucky a**.

You don't need anything new for your reg for your mag. Just leave it stock and get n2. You'll be better off that way.
