so my xvalve should be here anyday and I was wondering how hard it is to tune the level 10 on an xvalve, how long it takes, etc. . It has instructions on how to tune it, right? I don't have a chrono so will that make it hard to get the right velocity for tuning the level 10?

It may come tuned. But, if not.. its really easy. People have problems, but honestly its easier than you think. As long as you put in the parts correctly(like in order) then you wont have a problem. -
Agd Blow Up Xvalve Lvlx
HERE IS A LINK TO AGD XVALVE EXPLODE IT MIGHT BE HELPFULL. ALSO IF YOU WANT TO. YOU CAN GOT TO THE HOME PAIGE AND IN THE X MAG LINK YOU CAN GET A PDF OF HOW TO SET UP THE LVLX.
MAGS ARE EASY TO WORK ON. THATS WHY THEY ROCK.

Remove all powertube shims for the level 10 setup procedure. The test fit the carrier and oring onto the bolt stem. It should fit shug but be easily movable (ie; the carrier should allow the bolt to slide out if you attempt to hold the bolt up by the carrier. The carrier should not freely slide down the bolt stem on its own when the bolt is sitting with the bolt stem facing up.). You will get a feel for tightness when you test fit it.
Put the middle (red) spring on the bolt. Start with the velocity setting low. Turn up the velocity setting until the gun fires. The starting velocity should be ~20fps below where you want to use the gun. If you want the gun shooting 290 fps, then the starting fps where gun starts to fire should be 270fps. If the starting fps is 280 or higher, use the next smaller, lighter spring. If the starting fps is low, then use the next longer, stiffer spring. This will give you a good consistently performing level 10 mag.
Once the mag fires consistently at the velocity setting you have chosen, you may want to add powertube shims. Many people never use them at all. The shims determine how far forward the bolt has to move before it can be reset. Most chops and jams allow enough movement without any shims at all. However, you can tweak this by adding shims. Don't add too many that you get a constant leak while at rest. You can test your system by firing the gun with a squeegie pressed against the bolt face. Hold the trigger and gently allow the bolt to push the squeegie forward. As the bolt moves you will hear the air release from the chamber. You will get a feel for the distance the bolt moves and the effect of adding or removing shims.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment
